Orient Lines

Established in 1992, Orient Lines started sailing with a single ship, Marco Polo, in late 1993.

Taken over by Norwegian Cruise Line in 1998, the company now is a wholly-owned affiliate of Star Cruises, NCL’s mother company.

The addition of the Norwegian Crown, now Crown Odyssey, more than doubled Orient Lines number of berths, and in 2003 the former “Europa” (V) of Hapag-Lloyd Kreuzfahrten, once the world’s highest-rated cruise ship, will join the Orient Lines fleet from mother company Star Cruises. She will be named the “Ocean Voyager”.
